Ask an Expert: Celeb Stylist Adir Abergel Answers Our Readers' Hair Questions

Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel is the creative director for hair brand Virtue. He's also the man who styles the hair of Anne Hathaway, Sienna Miller and Jennifer Garner, so to say he knows good hair is an understatement. As I came to learn when speaking with Abergel, Virtue is unlike any other haircare on the market. The key to its success is the alpha keratin 60KU ingredient that has the ability to drive down into the hair strand, filling any gaps and rebuilding damaged hair. Abergel describes it to me as the “skinification of hair.”

In the beauty world, you see products that contain “skin-identical” natural moisturising factors like hyaluronic acid, amino acids and ceramides that help protect the skin from environmental aggressors. Well, Virtue’s products are built with that key ingredient.  This “hair identical” keratin smoothes each strand, resurfacing and filling the cracks to bolster the integrity of the hair, preventing moisture loss that can prematurely age it. Think smooth, shiny supple hair as opposed to dry, brittle, dull strands. Sounds good, right?

I met with Abergel to talk all things hair, and instead of asking my own questions, I opened it up to our Facebook group, The British Beauty Line, for some of our readers’ most pressing questions. Keep scrolling for this super-insightful interview where the celeb hairstylist helps me understand how to blow-dry my own hair, stave off hair ageing and fight frizz like a pro.
