Travelling can very easily take a put-together individual and turn her into a hot mess. Hair that’s all over the place, makeup that looks like it’s been on for days, crazy-dry skin—and all that is likely to happen before she even boards the plane. "When I'm traveling on a short trip or even will be out for the night or day, I load up my brushes with extra bronzer and blush so I don't have to carry my compacts with me. Then I just apply more gently than usual. It's makes traveling light much simpler. A retractable brush or a plastic bag are good to use, to prevent your blush from getting everywhere."

"I always clip my hair in a high bun when I'm on a flight. If you let it out right before you land, you'll have a nice effortless wave!"

"Most of the time, the shampoo and conditioner the hotel supplies isn't my favorite, but I'll swipe those mini TSA-approved bottles to refill with my own products for my next trip!"
-Kat Collings, Editorial Director, Who What Wear
"Other than keeping my makeup minimal before a flight (especially an international one), I'll put a dollop of face cream and eye cream in either small, travel-sized containers you can pick up in the dollar store, or even in my contact lens cases (not the one I use for my actual contacts, obviously). That way, I won't have to separate them from the rest of my toiletries, and I can still utilize their benefits. I'll use a makeup wipe to clean my face before landing, then massage in some moisturizer and SPF, as well as pat in some eye cream to hide any puffiness."

"I picked this tip up from a friend and it’s a little embarrassing, but it’s never failed me. Before I get on an airplane, I apply a thin layer of Vaseline around (okay, basically inside) each nostril. Supposedly it catches the germs to keep you healthy. Sounds strange, but I’ve never gotten sick after traveling."
