We spend most of London Fashion Week scurrying backstage, rifling through the kit bags of the world's most knowledgeable makeup artists and furiously taking notes to find out the spring/summer beauty trends we'll all be following next season. But there's actually somewhere else we like to look for makeup inspiration—and that's the street.
Every season, the most photographed street style stars don't only give us a lesson in how to style the must-have fashion pieces—they also know a thing or two about creating a makeup look to match. Not only are they super easy to re-create (no show-goer has hours to get ready before a jam-packed day of shows), but also, unlike the more avant-garde trends we spot on the catwalk, these looks are completely wearable IRL too.
So what did we spot on the streets this time around? Well, from the look that proves red eye shadow isn't a thing to fear to the most universally flattering lip colour, keep scrolling for our favourite street style makeup looks.

No one does a smoky eye quite like Jasmine Sanders, aka Golden Barbie. Rather than heavy patches of dense black shadow, she has used soft washes of beige and brown to make it far more wearable for the daytime. Simply buff a darker shade onto the lash line and a lighter shade onto the centre of the eyelid; then use a fluffy brush to blend. Easy.

Against her freckled complexion, Sam Rollinson's rosy pink lipstick looked super fresh. And take it from us—the most low-maintenance lipstick is one close to your lip tone, as you can swipe it on without looking in the mirror.

Red eye shadow can be a little bit scary, but when it's worn in rich shades of rust with application focused on the outer corner of the eye, it's actually super flattering. Use the same red eye shadow as a light wash of blush and match with a glossy red lip for a modern, monochromatic look.

Fashion stylist and consultant Kate Foley proves that the chicest way to wear lipstick this season is to forgo the mascara and keep skin bare. Oh, and make it burgundy for the ultimate impact.

Considering her red suit was pretty major, Freddie Harrell kept her makeup look simple with just glowy post-facial skin and a little bit of a natural flush on the apples of the cheeks.

That certain shade of rose-taupe lipstick is super flattering on all skin tones, mainly because it contains the perfect balance of brown and pink tones. We'll be teaming 3ina Matte Lipstick in 795 (£8) with swept-on golden highlighter like Bettina Looney.

This might not be a look for the office, but we loved the graphic slashes of red liner that model Nikita Andrianova wore across her eyelids. To make this more wearable, switch to black eyeliner (these are the best ones, by the way) and keep the crisscross stripes close to the lash line.
Next up, these are the bloggers we follow for hair inspiration.
