Tech giant Samsung might be known for its electronics, but come 2017, it could change the skincare game in a huge way. The Korean brand will be showcasing not one but two beauty-centric products at the Consumer Electronics Showcase next month. The first is called the Lumini, a device that takes a photo of your face to analyse skin problems before they arise. The portable device then sends your personalised skin information to a smartphone app for a full rundown of what's going on beneath the surface (the anticipation alone would give us serious anxiety). It can recognise things like pimples on the horizon, freckles, wrinkles, and more. Cue the onset of premature freak-outs.
The second is even more mind-blowing: S-Skin is a portable device that measures things on your skin like melanin, hydration, and redness to provide a custom LED treatment and syncs with microneedle patches to address the problems. According to Samsung, "S-Skin is a consumer skincare solution that saves time and cost associated with professional dermatological care." Yeah, we think we'll take both as soon as we can get our hands on them!
In the meantime, you have to check out the two Samsung technologies in action below.
