Olivia Palermo's Rope Braid Is a Must-See
We love a good braid, whether it's pancaked, purposely uneven, or knotted. Truly, no braid can do wrong in our books. However, our braid affection reached an entirely new level when we came across Olivia Palermo's stunning rope braid at An Evening Honoring Valentino in NYC on Monday night. Accompanied by a custom-made latex headband, we were entranced by the magic that was happening on Palermo's head.
Hairstylist Lacy Redway wanted to create an edgy look that would offset Valentino's romantic designs. To start, she parted Palermo's hair down the center and used some R+Co Chiffon Styling Mousse ($27) to smooth strands down. To keep flyaways at bay and hold the style in place even more, she worked Moco de Gorila Punk Squizz Hair Gel ($6) all throughout the strands and used the Ibiza GL7 Boar Bristle Brush ($120) to comb the hair back into a tight, low ponytail.

She then added more gel to the ponytail and twisted two separate sections all the way down to the ends and secured them with a ponytail holder. We're definitely mentally archiving this look for our next event!
