Marc Jacobs Is Bringing Back This '80s Makeup Trend, and We Could Be Persuaded

If you'd have told me I'd be championing '80s-style frosted makeup a week ago, I would have run in the opposite direction. Don't get me wrong—I'm not totally against shimmer come Christmas, and obviously, if the frosting comes on top of a totally decadent cake, I will eat it. However, on my face, I've never been so sure—until now. Not only did Marc Jacobs Beauty just launch in Harvey Nichols, but the brand also launched its new Leopard Frost collection. Oh, and we think that one product, in particular, is everything. Yes, we're talking about the new Le Marc Leopard Frost Lip Creme Lipstick (£25).

This creamy lipstick is the perfect balance of pigment and translucency to give you a subtle dose of frosting this winter. It comes in five shades, so there's one for all your Christmas parties. Also, its instant metallic sheen helps to plump and moisturise your lips whilst giving off a high-impact finish. I personally fell for Sugar Sugar, a soft-pink shade that would look great worn with barely there makeup. Michael Ashton, Marc Jacobs's global artistry ambassador, used this hue on Lila Moss (the new face of the brand), who obviously looked incredible. Shop the lipstick below along with the other products in the new collection.

Marc Jacobs also launched a new seven-shade frosted eye shadow palette, which we naturally got very excited about. Shop it below.

What do you think of the new collection? Would you frost yourself and wear it? Come and let us know in The British Beauty Line.
