Getting out the door on time, whether it’s for work or a dinner date, is one of those lovely universal struggles we all suffer from. But with the right mindset (and double duty products!) you can simplify your beauty routine—and save the complicated endeavours for times when the clock is on your side.

The easiest way to cut down on primp time? A tinted moisturizer that provides broad spectrum SPF and a wash of coverage. Blend into skin and you’re done! We like MD Solar Sciences Mineral Tinted Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 30 UVA-UVB Sunscreen ($32), and Shiseido’s? Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 43 ($30).
A time-crunched morning is no excuse to skip the SPF. Keep a moisturizer with build-in sun protection in your medicine cabinets for mornings you don’t have a ton of time, but will be outdoors. Aveeno’s Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15 ($10) is ultra-hydrating and Dermadoctor’s Brazilian Bombshell Skin Perfecting Body Lotion with Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($48) has a light tint for pale legs!
Once you have your tinted moisturizer on, reach for a brightening concealer. Medium-coverage formulas, like Nars’ Radiant Creamy Concealer ($29), reflect light and can be used under your eyes, around your nose, on your chin—anywhere that needs a little coverage or brightening.
Using a loose mineral powder one to two shades darker than your skintone does three jobs: lightly contours, sets your tinted moisturizer, and helps to keep skin matte. We like Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation ($36) and Bare Escentuals’ Original SPF 15 Foundation ($27).
A quick swipe from a multiple will give cheeks and lips a rosy, I-just-woke-up-like-this-glow. Just dab and blend and you’ll look like an English rose. We swear by Nars Matte Multiple ($39).
If you want to perk up your eyes, reach for an easily-smudged shadow stick. Just draw a thick line directly onto your lid and blend with your ring finger. Try Clinique’s ?Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes ($17) in Lots o’ Latte, E.l.f.’s Essential Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick ($2) in Little Miss Thing, or Bobbi Brown’s Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick ($28) in Sand Dune.
Remember curling mascara? The trendy formula had a big moment years ago, for exactly this reason: it’s the only product you need for uplifted, defined lashes. Pick up Urban Decay Supercurl Curling Mascara ($20) and stow your eyelash curler for when you have a few more minutes.
Whether you let you locks air dry, or are sporting day old blowout, blast your dry hair with a volumizing dry shampoo from roots to mid-lengths. This will give your tresses a jolt of texture and body—and soak up oil! We like Big Sexy Hair’s Volumizing Dry Shampoo ($18).
