Can a New Running Outfit Actually Get Me Exercising Again?

Apparently if you treat yourself to new gym kit, you're more likely to actually go to the gym. I haven't been to the gym in about a year, so I'll try anything. I have been on "caternity" leave (yes, it's a thing). I got cats last November and would much rather chill with them than exercise. Lumping toy balls at them counts as a calorie-burning activity, right? They've been in my life almost a year, and since they're not actual human babies, I've probably overused that excuse.

Try as I might, I just can't seem to muster up enough motivation to actually work out. Hence why I found myself in Lululemon on a cold, rainy morning trying to prise my soft body into figure-hugging Lycra. When it comes to well-fitting kits, Lululemon is up there as one of my go-to brands. Its Align Pant (£88) is the only pair of leggings I fly in—short haul, long haul, you name it—and its leggings have a naked feel that makes them ridiculously comfortable.

So I decided to try on a few different running outfits. With the weather set to be nice this month, I figured gentle jogs on a sunny day would be better than going to the gym. (Let's face it: My gym membership expired ages ago.) Keep scrolling to see the outfits I tried on, the kit I chose and whether or not it actually got me exercising again. I know you're all on the edge of your seats.
