Of all the places we thought Kylie Jenner would divulge her beauty routine, The New York Times was not one of them. And yet, the outlet surprised everyone today by publishing a revealing beauty interview with Jenner in which she discusses her makeup, hair, and skincare favourites. Out of everything she shared, we zeroed in on two things: her favourite foundation and the surprising drugstore product she swears by. The foundation in question is Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder Foundation ($45), which also happens to be a Byrdie favourite. Jenner tells The New York Times she likes it because “you can still see my skin through it.” Which might seem like a surprising reason to like a product, considering Jenner’s penchant for heavy contour, big lashes, and lots of lip liner—but she says that persona is only for when she does photo shoots or interviews. The rest of the time, she swears she doesn’t wear heavy makeup. The more you know.
The second product we’ll be snatching up is the drugstore favourite Jenner uses to remove her makeup—and that would be Neutrogena’s Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes ($8). Jenner swears they even remove her waterproof makeup, and considering her many selfies, we’re taking her word as gospel.
Jenner reveals more beauty gems throughout the piece, including who exactly she goes to for her Juvederm injections, her advice for anyone considering injections themselves (“go for a filler that lasts only two to four months”), and even her favourite healthy snack.
