Khloé Kardashian has revealed that she had eight inches of skin removed, due to a cancer scare. The reality TV star announced the news on her website yesterday, and wrote about how she had the skin removed after noticing that some of her moles were changing shape and growing.
In the post on her site, she said:
"I have moles everywhere, and a couple years ago, I noticed one growing under my breast. I immediately looked it up online and found out that if a mole is growing and changing shape, you should go to the doctor—so I did."
While that was benign, there was a mole that ended up being cancerous, which she also explains on her website:
"There was one mole I had on my back that was skin cancer. I had 8 inches of skin removed. It was definitely painful because it was a lot of skin, but most of the time, the removals haven't been that bad."

Finally, the fitness fanatic spoke about how there are certain places she's the most vigilant about putting on sunscreen:
"I wear sunscreen every day, especially on my hands. Hands are always out in the sun, so they age the most. I keep extra sunscreen in the glove boxes of all of my cars in case I forget. When the sun hits my hands while I'm driving, it reminds me to slather more on!!!"
Yesterday, we wrote a piece about how we're all applying sunscreeen wrong, so Khloé's news is an important reminder that we should all be vigilant about putting on SPF correctly and ensuring we look after our skin. If you want more information, head to our guide for checking your skin correctly.
