The best time to consume carbs, if you're trying to slim down, is after exercise, as your body's metabolism is revved up. Plus, you need to replace lost glycogen in the muscles from a tough workout so your body can repair, and you do that by eating carbs. Enjoy!

Try my lamb Kofta with Greek salad ???????? This is the low carb recipe I cooked on @sundaybrunchc4 today ???????? Serves 2 Ingredients 350g lean Lamb mince 2 tsp ground cinnamon 2 tsp ground cumin 4 spring onions, trimmed and finely sliced 2 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped ½ cucumber 1 large tomato 16 black olives Splash of sherry vinegar Small handful of mint leaves to serve (optional) Method 1. Preheat grill to maximum. 2. Tip the lamb mince in a bowl and add the spices, spring onions, garlic and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Mix the whole lot together, the best way I find is to dig your hands in. 3. Shape the mixture into 4 equal sausage shapes and place them on your grill tray. Grill the koftas close to the element for 5 minutes before turning and continuing for a further 5 minutes. 4. Whilst the koftas are cooking roughly chop the cucumber and tomato into similar sized big chunks, toss them in a bowl along with the black olives and sherry vinegar. Mix the ingredients to lightly coat in the vinegar. 5. When the koftas are cooked through remove from the oven and serve up with your chunky salad and an artisan scattering of mint leaves. #Leanin15 #lamb #kofta #kebab #instacook #recipe #foodie #foodporn
On diets, lamb is usually off the menu, as it's fattier than meats like chicken and turkey, but Wicks has found a way that you can incorporate it into your diet.
Shop-bought seasoning tends to be packed with excess sugar and salt, so by making your own fish topping you are in control of the ingredients.
