The stunning makeup at Jenny Packham’s 2016 Bridal Fashion Week show can be summed up in three words: fresh, luminous, and romantic. The designer’s entire collection was inspired by William Shakespeare’s classic tale “A Midsummer’s Night Dream,” so lead artist Talia Sparrow used Laura Mercier products to recreate the whimsical feel on the models, with glowing skin and soft, pink tones. And, don’t worry if you’re not planning on walking down the aisle anytime soon—this sweet and feminine makeup is also appropriate for date night and girls' night, too.
Sparrow began by prepping the skin with a rich moisturizer and applying Laura Mercier’s Silk Crème Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation ($48) to the areas that needed coverage. To achieve a dewy, radiant complexion, she dabbed the brand's Infusion de Rose Nourishing Oil ($62) on the cheeks and the t-zone using a sponge. She followed up with an iridescent, pale pink eye shadow on the lid, a stroke of black eyeliner, and mascara on both the top and bottom lashes. She finished the look with a layer of Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Spiced Rose ($27) and Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour in Coral Reef ($28) for a hint of shine. Blushing bride, much?
