Half moon pose is a balancing yoga posture that has many benefits from strengthening the core and butt to easing anxiety and fatigue. But according to yoga teacher Shona Vertue, it's a "tricky posture" to get right. Vertue adds that it generates focus in the mind, stability in the hips and flexibility in the hamstrings, which is important if you're training for a long-distance run like a marathon.
