The 3 Celeb Hair Looks That Ruled 2015

Each year there are standout hair trends that take the A-list world (and ours) by storm and thankfully 2015 was no exception. In fact, this year was very decisive when it came to hair—there was one winning haircut, colour and style that each outshone the rest.

These trends are now so ingrained in our hair vocabulary that we can see them being beauty stalwarts in 2016 too. So keep scrolling for the three biggest hair trends and the celebrities who got them right.

The ombré of 2013/2014 made way for a subtler, prettier take on dual-toned hair: bronde, the perfect hybrid between blonde and brunette. It suits pretty much every skintone because you can blend all manner of blonde and brunette shades to get the right look for you.

Want to try bronde? Take these pictures to your nearest hairdresser, or if you’re feeling brave try L’Oréal Paris Préférence Glam Bronde (£6) at home.

The lob (long bob) first made its way onto the red carpet back in 2014 (Jessica Alba was an early adopter), but its tag of ‘celeb favourite’ was cemented when a whole crop of stars cut off their strands in favour of the shoulder-grazing length. As with bronde, the lob comes in many guises—from sleek and smooth to curly. Lobs look best with plenty of shine, so mist with Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine (£18), to ramp up the gloss.

The hun (half bun) rivalled the dolly bun this year for top spot as the off-duty hairstyle of choice. It’s also become a go-to for stars who want to dress down their red carpet look. The key with the hun is getting texture and movement into the ends, use the GHD Curve Classic Wave Wand (£120) to fake a natural-looking wave.
