We often look to the A-list for inspiration when it comes to hair and makeup ideas, as well as trends in the making. When we spot a couple of celebs with a particular hairstyle or makeup look, then we know it's something to keep an eye on. The industry saying is 'three's a trend', but when you spot five stars wearing the same beauty look on one night, then we want in ASAP.
That's exactly what happened when we saw the red carpet looks from last night's GQ Man of the Year awards. The annual event boasted a stellar guest list, including Bella Hadid, who won model of the year. But, as beauty fanatics, our eyes were solely on what people were wearing on their faces. Usually, at these events, there are a lot of different looks, but that wasn't the case this year. Instead, everyone wore a variation of the same look. Bella Hadid, Ellie Goulding, Daisy Lowe, Ashley Graham and model Kelly Rohrbach all sported gorgeous glowing skin, accented by highlighter, minimal eyeliner and mascara, and pink lips.

Daisy Lowe's look is much more focused on the eyes. While there's a great spot of highlighting, for which we'd use Benefit's High Beam (£20), use one of Charlotte Tilbury's eye shadow pencils for an easy smoky-eye effect.

Singer Ellie Goulding went for a much more pared-back affair. While there was an emphasis on the lips being pink and a decent dab of highlighter, we were admiring the taupe shade of eye shadow that was just enough contour to make her eyes pop. We love MAC's eye shadow in All That Glitters (£13) to re-create this.
