At long last, Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop line has launched in the UK. Goop turned 10 years old this week, and to celebrate, the brand has opened a pop-up store on Westbourne Grove in London (it will be there until January and is well worth a visit). If you don't live in London but you still want to try Goop, never fear. Cult Beauty is now carrying the beauty line, so now you can stock up from the comfort of your sofa whilst sipping a matcha latte (which is what Gwynnie would want).
The products are made with organic beauty company Juice Beauty and tick all the millennial boxes. Firstly, the products are free from all kinds of nasties like parabens and silicones, so they're totally clean. They're also Instagram-worthy and boast the kind of names that make you want to part with your money quick, for example, the Exfoliating Instant Facial (yes, please!) and "The Martini" Emotional Detox Bath Soak (just take my money already!).
Below we've pulled together a rundown of some of Goop's best-selling beauty buys.
Not sure where to start? The Discovery Set is a good place. It contains travel sizes of the Exfoliating Instant Facial, Revitalizing Day Moisturizer, Enriching Face Oil and Replenishing Night Cream.
Who doesn't want to bathe in a martini-inspired bath soak? Muscle-relaxing Epsom and Himalayan salts are mingled with mind-calming valerian root and passion flower. Essential oils of frankincense, myrrh, Australian sandalwood and vetiver leave your bathroom smelling like a luxury spa. Oh, and you get three baths out of each pouch.
Body brushing truly is one of the best ways to boost circulation, manoeuvre toxins out of the body and reduce the appearance of cellulite. Trust us (and Goop).
Drawing on ideas from the worlds of homoeopathy and Ayurveda Goop's fragrance doesn't just smell divine, it soothes the mind and brings about a sense of inner peace too. According to Goop, "Church" smells like "mineral rock, wooden floorboards and the sacred stillness of age-old ritual."
Gwyneth Paltrow has great skin, and she uses this Goop cleanser, of course. A blend of almond, olive and coconut oil melts away dirt and makeup to nourish the skin and leave it soft, supple, glowing and clean.
They had us at "Exfoliating Instant Facial," but if you need more convincing, this incredibly active mask contains six acids: lactic, tartaric, hyaluronic, salicylic, glycolic and malic. These acids effectively sweep away dead skin and clean out pores, leaving the skin refined. Aloe and plant oils also keep the skin calm and content.
This whipped shampoo contains Himalayan pink salt to exfoliate the scalp. It also contains moringa and rose hip oil to purify and nourish the hair. This effectively removes dirt and grime so all you have to do is follow-up with a conditioner. If you suffer from a flaky scalp or feel like your hair doesn't grow, then exfoliating the scalp could really help.
Mix this powder (it tastes like orange and lemon verbena) with water and drink it first thing in the morning. It contains a powerful mix of antioxidants and vitamins C, E and CoQ10. All of these ingredients work to help your skin defend itself against sun, pollution and stress.
