Next spring appears to be a simpler time: a time when, according to Prada, we’ll only need to worry about one makeup item in our pocketbooks—but it’s a WILD one. Every single model in Prada’s S/S 16 show in Milan donned gold lips. While the brand hasn’t revealed the mystery powder that left mouths wide open across the beauty world, a refreshing diversity in models indicates the look is universally cool. Keep scrolling for five jaw-dropping photos of Miuccia Prada’s models donning gold lips.
The brands instagram feed was a gold mine of inspiration. We anxiously await the show’s makeup artist, Pat McGrath reveal of what she used on the models.
According to an article in Vogue, the lips were created with some unidentified powder which got us thinking about Jane Iredale 24-Karat Gold Dust ($14). You can use it on eyes, cheeks and lips to get a little glow going. Apply over a tacky balm to help it stay put.
The most severe gold we found on the market is in a stick. Kaoir Lipstick in Golden Goddess ($16), looks like it might be the closest we’re going to get until someone pries the product out of Prada.
What do you think of the gold lip trend? Would you ever try it? Or is this one look that should only live on the runway? Sound off below!
