You Can Now Buy the Glossier Eye Shadow Beyoncé Wore to the Grammys

It's safe to say that Glossier has cast a spell over millennials far and wide. The internet loses its mind every time a new product is launched, and last night at the Oscars, the brand went big. Revealing Lidstar (£15), its brand-new range of six shimmering, creamy eye shadows, on an incredible selection of celebrities. Kudos, Glossier. Major kudos.

Allison Janney looked amazing in Fawn and Moon blended together. Taraji P. Henson wore Fawn alone and totally rocked it. And if you cast your mind back to the Grammys a month or so ago, yes, Beyoncé wore Lidstar blended over her eyes.

Here at Byrdie, we're firm fans of Glossier. Both our deputy editor and I swear by the Priming Moisturizer Rich (£29), and our editor is a firm fan of Body Hero Daily Oil Wash (£15). Which is why when I arrived at work today to said shadows, I got a little excited and basically spent the first 25 minutes testing them all out. Okay, an hour, I spent an hour.

Obviously, this is a no-brainer, but the packaging is seriously cute. I mean, could you get a better-looking cream eye shadow? Glossier is a pro at making products that we not only want to keep in our makeup bags, but it also creates products that we're more than happy to pull out for a touch-up.

Let's talk shades. There are six versatile shades, so there are plenty to choose from. I was most drawn to Herb with its almost greeny-gold shimmer. It's perfect when you want to amp things up a little. Next is Fawn, a soft purple that would look amazing against a darker skin tone, and then there's Cub (my current favourite), a rose-gold that doesn't intimidate and gives your eyelid a soft pink flush. The last three, Lily, Slip and Moon are more iridescent and feel like the eye shadow version of Haloscope in Moonstone. They give off an angelic ambience and leave the lids glistening but not too overdone.

The best thing about them? They take no time whatsoever to apply. I'm someone who gravitates towards easy-to-use products (apart from my obsession with liquid eyeliner), and Lidstar strikes me as a no-fuss, no-thrills, easy-to-use product. Its creamy, blendable formula means you can literally swipe and go. Which is exactly what I did with every single shade.
