“I always mix a few drops of Josie Maran’s Argan Oil ($48) into foundation to keep the skin glowing,” makeup artist Shane Paish says. He applied Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact ($45) to Munn’s face, then brushed Dior’s Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen ($37) under the actress’ eyes.
Bronzed and contoured skin complemented the simplicity of Munn’s Thakoon dress, so Paish dusted Kevyn Aucoin’s The Sculpting Powder ($42) along the actress’ jawline and under her cheekbones, then reached for Laura Mercier’s Bronzing Pressed Powder ($32).“This Laura Mercier powder is the best thing that I have ever used,” Paish says. He applied it all over Munn’s face, shoulders, and chest.
Munn’s structured brows are thanks to Dior’s Powder Eyebrow Pencil ($29) in Chestnut. “Using a brow pencil a shade lighter than your hair will make your eye pop,” Paish says.
Creating a smoky eye with copper and brown tones is easy to master at home, says Paish. He layered a mix of hues from Tom Ford’s Eye Color Quad ($78) in Golden Mink onto Munn’s lid, then dusted the lightest gold shade under her bottom lash line for depth.
For a contrast to Munn’s dewy skin, Paish used Nars’ Velvet Matte Lip Pencil ($25) in Belle De Jour.
“This style is easiest to get on second-day hair,” hairstylist Christian Marc says. Leonor Greyl’s Volumizing Styling Mousse ($46) added extra grip to Munn’s dry locks before Marc pulled the actress’ hair into a ponytail with a bungee elastic.
Marc created a cocktail of Rene Furterer’s Modeling Matte Paste ($24) and Karite Cream ($26), worked it into the length of Munn’s locks, and began twisting her hair into a bun. He added bobby pins as he twisted, leaving the ends sticking out slightly. “This gives the style a little edge,” he says.
The key to this look is the shine, Marc says. He slicked Leonor Greyl’s Eclat Naturel ($46) onto the side sections of Munn’s hair, then added a little extra Matte Paste to the ends of her hair. Skip hairspray!
