Draping isn't anything new—it's a makeup technique that's been used behind the scenes by makeup artists since the '60s. It's a fresher alternative to contouring. In place of matte shadow-hued powder, you'll want to reach for a soft pink or peach blusher to sweep around your cheekbones and, if you're into it, onto your eyelids. You'll recognise draping from pictures of the Studio 54 crowd and Farrah Fawcett in the '70s. While draping can look seriously pretty, you can overdo it (as most pop stars did during the entirety of the '80s). Tread lightly but definitely give this look a try for a pretty summer take on contouring. Keep scrolling to watch the tutorial; then shop the products below.
