“Keep your makeup look minimal” the Revenge actress and blogger says. “Fresh skin and a swipe of cream blush is enough to look pulled together.”
Madekwe’s go-to blush? “I use Stila’s Convertible Color ($25) in Petunia on my cheeks and lips for festivals,” she says. “It stays put for ages and gives a perfect rosy glow.”
“Who has time to blow out their hair at Coachella?” Madekwe says. Instead, she keeps Batiste’s Dry Shampoo ($7) in her bag. “It keeps my roots from getting greasy and smells great.”
Port's clothing line, Whitney Eve, is perfect for Coachella, but what are her beauty tips? “I always bring a few hair ties so I can make cute braids or buns with friends while we’re sitting in the fields waiting for the next act,” Port told us. And makeup? “Less is always more. Keep makeup simple, so you don't have to worry about it dripping down your face.”
Along with hair elastics, Port totes Murad’s Hydrating Toner ($27). “It fits in a little bag and is always super refreshing,” she says.
“It gets so dry in the desert, so I always bring Lucas Papaw Ointment ($12) for my lips,” Port says.
The in-demand DJ spins at some of the best parties at Coachella. What are her festival beauty rules? “I like to focus on a bright lip that I can easily reapply,” she says. “It’s best to keep your makeup clean and light, so that it doesn't look cakey during the day.”
To keep shine at bay, Viera-Newton reaches for Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour SPF 15 ($60) in one shade darker than her skin, wearing it as a bronzer. “It's very sheer and gives you a subtle sun-kissed glow, which is very natural for daytime,” she says.
The beautified-founder is a regular at Coachella, whether she’s DJing a party or hitting the festival with friends (with Rita Ora, above). Her tip to stay polished in the heat? “After a couple hours of dancing, your hair can get flat or frizzy,” she says. Her fix? “Part your hair down the middle, twist the front sections away from your face, and put all your hair into a low bun. And keep a small mirror with you so you know when to reapply your lipstick!”
Planning a late night at Neon Carnival, followed by an early brunch? Bronfman remedies a lack of sleep with a moisturizing cloth face mask. “SK-II’s Facial Treatment Mask ($90) instantly hydrates and brightens my skin,” she says. “No one will be able to tell how much, or how little, sleep I'll be getting!”
Bronfman also packs Make Up For Ever’s HD Microfinish Powder ($34). “It's going to be hot and sweaty, so a few swipes of this powder around your T=zone will gives you a matte finish right when you need it.”
“You never want to look too overdone at a festival,” the model told us. “The best way to look polished is definitely clean, natural-looking skin—you don't want to worry about reapplying something like eyeliner!”
To keep her skin light and fresh, de Cadenet-Taylor packs Dior’s Hydra Life BB Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ($56). “It has more coverage then a tinted moisturizer, but less than a foundation, and stays on all day!” she says. “Plus, it also has SPF 30!”
“I can't live without Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant ($20),” de Cadenet-Taylor says. “It’s great as a lip balm, and I also use it as a sort of eye grease on my eyelids to give me a bit of shimmer. It stays on all day and gives me the wet shiny look.”
