How To Copy Chloe Grace Moretz's Effortless Waves

This look may not have been the most outrageous ones to come out of Comic-Con this year, but we’re going to go out on a limb and say it is the most gorgeous. Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell, who crafted Chloe Grace Moretz’s undeniably cool coif for the MTVu Fandom Awards at Comic-Con International, said “effortless texture” was the goal. (We say: mission accomplished.) He filled us in on how to get the look, and it’s totally doable.

Russell applied a mix of Kevin Murphy’s Easy Rider Anti Frizz Crème ($44) and Bumble and bumble’s Grooming Crème ($29) to Moretz’s towel-dried hair. Then, Russell blew out her hair with a medium-sized round brush. Next, he sectioned the actress’ strands, and starting about mid-way down the lengths, he waved each section with a flat iron. For that natural, lived-in feel, Russell lightly tousled the waves. The finishing touch? A bit of Leonor Greyl’s Éclat Naturel Styling Cream ($46) smoothed over the ends and spritz of hairspray for hold.
