It was announced today that Cara Delevingne will be joining Kate Moss for yet another modelling gig, this time as a brand ambassador for Rimmel London. Kate and Cara have already worked together on campaigns for Mango and Burberry, but it's yet to be seen whether the duo will hook up again for Rimmel London. Of Cara, Johanna Businelli, Coty’s chief marketing officer of color cosmetics, said, "I think it’s so rare for a beauty brand to find such a natural face as an ambassador," Businelli told WWD. "We are very fortunate to have Kate Moss but Cara is also a fantastic fit...She has this quite unique look because it’s always bold, very trendsetting and very personal."
Cara was just as complimentary of the brand saying, "My first memory of Rimmel was watching the adverts with Kate [Moss]," she told WWD. "I was very much a tomboy growing up so I never really wore makeup but I was always fascinated by how edgy and captivating the brand and its ambassadors were.
"It’s such an iconic cosmetic brand that represents the London girl... The brand philosophy and core brand identity is in line with my own style and attitude. I am proud to be English and jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with such an iconic English brand."
Cara's first outing with the brand will be for a live global Snapchat conference this Friday. To put your question to the actress and model, simply add Rimmel London and message your question with the hashtag #RimmelxCara; the model will answer her favourite questions live on the day.
We don't know anything about the new launches Cara will be fronting, but we do know she will be starring in print, TV and online campaigns later this year. If we were betting people, we'd put our money on brow products… Surely.
