This week, some truly jaw-dropping beauty looks at the Toronto International Film Festival totally blew us away. Moody, ocean-blue eye shadow? Check. Model-worthy beach waves? Check-check. Suffice it to say we’re feeling very inspired beauty-wise for our weekend festivities—cheers to that!
From slicked-back hair to long, lush lashes, keep scrolling for six of our favourite hair and makeup looks of the week!
Leave it to Kristen Stewart to rock an edgy, blue-tinged smoky eye like nobody’s business. Makeup artist Jillian Dempsey used Chanel’s Base Lumière Illuminating Makeup Base ($45) and Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour SPF 15 ($58) in No. 20 to give Stewart a flawless lit-from-within canvas.
In a sophisticated black Marc Jacobs dress, Kate Mara worked with celebrity makeup artist Coleen Campbell-Olwell to sculpt her best features. Using Orlane products, Campbell-Olwell highlighted Mara’s enviable cheekbones using the brand’s 02 Compact Bronzer ($50) in Soleil Cuivre. With its matte consistency, it is the perfect product to give a light contour under the cheekbones, sculpting the face while giving a fresh glow.
Channeling Audrey Hepburn, Emily Blunt lit up the TIFF red carpet with an enviable smoky cat eye. Working with celebrity makeup artist Jenn Streicher to draw inspiration from the film legend, Jenn applied Votre Vu’s Le Joli Crayon Soft Eyeliner in Marine directly to the lash line, feathering it out with a brush to create a soft cat eye and impart a smoky effect.
Supermodel Jourdan Dunn paired a matte berry lip with a stunning white dress and glowing skin—aka our Friday-night makeup inspiration. Pick up Charlotte Tilburry’s Matte Revolution Lipstick ($32) in Glastonberry to achieve the perfect pout this weekend.
