This June, there were some incredible new beauty products that launched. But instead of just giving you a rundown of everything new that we tried, we thought we'd let you know which new products have made it into our makeup bags and bathrooms for the foreseeable future. Here, the Byrdie UK team reveals the three beauty products that launched this June we reckon we could go the distance with. In short, they're more than just our type on paper…
I'm totally hooked on this cooling, hydrating face mask that quenches parched complexions and gently exfoliates away that dull top layer. Read my review of the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask here.
I feel head over heels for this perfume at first smell. It has an undeniable "holiday" aroma, like heady blend of salty skin, sun cream and a subtle hint of summer fruits. Not too sweet and definitely sultry. It's love, or at the very least, a summer fling that will take me through to autumn.
One of my colleagues, Maria, raved to me about this product so convincingly that I had to try it. She Slacked me and said, "I'm loving this product. I'm really, really lazy, but just putting on body lotion right when you step out of the shower has CHANGED MY LIFE!! Not an overstatement—it dries as your skin dries and leaves this amazing smell. I'm in love!!" I agree with every word of Maria's glowing review, as someone who hates applying body lotion, this is quick to use and leaves skin silky soft. Sold.
It's just a really sturdy hyaluronic acid–based formula that has been a godsend in this hot weather. It's so tricky to find a serum that not only works, but doesn't intervene with your other products, and unlike so many serums I've tried, this doesn't send my SPF into a peeling, flaky meltdown.
Way less bitter that it sounds, the citrus smell is super fresh with just the right amount of musky weight. And considering it's a body spray, the scent lingers just as long as a perfume.
The jelly texture is ridiculously satisfying, and unlike powders that can look a little heavy, this completely melds with the skin, so it really does look like your own natural flush.
Free from silicone, this leaves my fine hair full of volume. I tend to struggle with flyaways, but this lightweight shampoo has combated any signs of that, and has amped up the shine leaving me with wonderfully soft, vibrant hair.
Until recently, I wouldn't go near a foundation claiming to "blur" my skin, but Benefit changed that completely. This isn't too dissimilar to their cult Boi-ing concealer, only this product has an added hint of sheen. It leaves the skin looking healthy and natural but still covers any imperfections. A little goes a long way, so be careful when applying it!
I suffer from problem skin, and by "problem skin," I mean breakouts. This prebiotic clay mask does an amazing job at cleansing my skin and removing any impurities. It doesn't leave it patchy afterward, which is a huge bonus for a clay mask in my books, as they can tend to dry out my skin no end.
