Exclusive: Whitney Port Tells Us How She Keeps Her Brows (and Body) in Shape
As twinkly-eyed teens vying for a future apartment and flashy job in Manhattan, MTV's The City couldn't have been a better source of inspiration for our vision boards. That, and the fact that doe-eyed Whitney Port and her bubbly personality alongside everyone's now-favourite Instagram personality, Lauren Conrad, made for congenial viewing. But we have a lot of unanswered questions since The City's departure from the airwaves, such as: What ever happened to Jay? Do Whitney and LC still hang? Does Kelly Cutrone still have a solely black wardrobe? (Yes.) While we may not have touched on any of those three topics in our recent chat with Port, we did get inside intel on all sorts of beauty-related queries, like her favourite brow products from Birchbox, the treatment that makes her face "as smooth as a baby's bottom," and her key to staying fit.

Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel (£19)
"Basically, for my brows, I try not to touch them as much as humanly possible. I've been going to someone on the West Side. Her salon is called Brows by Shaila, and she only tweezes them. I don't wax them because I feel like waxing takes off more hair than I want to take off. It takes a lot of self-control, but basically I just brush them up first with just a regular brow brush, and then honestly, during the day, I don't really like to have the penciled-in look, so I've been using Benefit's Gimme Brow, and that really brushes them up and gives them that feathered look while giving them a little bit of a tint so it fixes any bald spots. And then if I'm doing my makeup for an event or going out at night, I'll actually pencil them in with the Goof Proof pencil (£19). I'll make a little line on the bottom of the brow, I'll line the very bottom and then slant and go across horizontally, and then I brush them up, and that line kind of gets blended into the rest of the brow—that's the way that I got taught by Kristie Streicher. She's known for her amazing feathered brows."

"My routine lately hasn't been that good. I've just been doing SoulCycle, which is obviously an amazing workout, but it's not super good for my body in that it's a lot of being hunched over a bike. So I do that, and then I really try to work out, like, five days a week, but usually when I'm being good, I move between SoulCycle, a little bit of yoga, and then some Pilates. I try to get in a good mix of cardio and also stretching."
Aveeno Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser (£12)
"So there are three products that are always part of my routine, and those are the Aveeno Clear Complexion face wash—it has a little bit of an exfoliant, SK-II toner (£115), and the Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer. Those are my three go-tos for morning and night. I recently—something that I actually found on Byrdie—the InstaNatural Serum. I got that about two weeks ago because my sister sent me the link from your site, and oh my gosh, I'm obsessed with it—it's so good. So I use that morning and night. And then I use Joanna Vargas's Rejuvenating Serum for extra moisture. That's more of like a nighttime thing because it gives you a little too much glow for the day. So for the day, after the InstaNatural, I use Embryolisse—it was referred to me by a makeup artist. I mix the Embryolisse with a tinted moisturiser. And that's pretty much it.
"I go to this facialist in Santa Monica named Nicole Hirschman, and she does this thing called dermablading, which sounds really scary. It's kind of like a flat razor, and it shaves off a layer of your skin and takes off all the peach fuzz, and it's just a really amazing exfoliant—it's so good. I never watch her do it, so I have no idea what's coming off my skin, but after I get it done, my face feels like a baby's bottom. It's so smooth. You have none of that natural peach fuzz, so I highly recommend dermablading. And then she does like an oxygen treatment afterward because dermablading can kind of dry out the skin a little bit. And that's a monthly thing that I do."
