Would You Use an Eyelash Curler Customised to Fit Your Face?
In a world where you can get gadgets that lift your eyebrows and find makeup brushes in every size (and shape) imaginable, have you ever wondered why the eyelash curler hasn’t changed a bit? Maybe not, but we bet you’ve had at least one unfortunate run-in with your curler that’s made you question the one-size-fit-all design. Adele Bakhtiarova did; that’s why she started Voir Creations with the goal of creating a customised eyelash curler tailored to fit the unique shape of your eyes. Keep reading for the details!
How does it work? Like most things these days, it starts with an app. Download it and your smart phone becomes a 3D scanner. According to PureWow, you take a bunch of selfies, and the patent-pending technology creates a 3D image of your face—more specifically, it calculates the side width, front width, and arc height of your eyes. From there, Voir builds the lash curler to your individual measurements. Bakhtiarova touts its ability to get right into the root for optimal curl, but we’ll have to wait until the product hits the market to weigh in on that.
Vior is still in development, but you can sign up for updates here. Until you’re able to get your hands on the new-generation eyelash curler, we recommend Shu Uemura’s S Curler ($22)—it’s smaller to help you reach the tiny inner and outer lashes better.
