Reviewed: Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Blush and Brighten Face Palette

It’s not very often I get excited about blush. It’s great, don’t get me wrong, but give me a pretty pink—any pretty pink and I’ll be happy. Or so I thought. Then I tried Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind’s Blush and Brighten Palette ($28). The powder is so soft to the touch; it feels like silk. The formula was important to brand's creator, Jessica Liebeskind (a former product developer and makeup artist). Her goal was to create colours that complement and enhance your features in wearable, long-lasting textures. I'd say mission accomplished. The blush goes on smoothly and blends beautifully. Wear the shades alone or together (personally, I'm all about the poppy fuchsia shade in the pink palette). And don't be intimidated by the brighter colour—I'm pretty much as pale as it gets and it works for me. My only qualm is that I wish the palette was a wee bit more petite so it didn't take up as much valuable real estate in my handbag.
