5 Surprising Beauty Tips We Learnt From Meghan Markle
These days, being a mega star on a TV show just isn't enough. Meghan Markle, who plays Rachel Zane in Suits, is not only an incredible actress, but she's also a phenomenal blogger. The 35-year-old runs the site The Tig, which includes a range of fashion, travel, and beauty tips. From revealing what she uses to make her lashes look full (a must-know) to how she puts together a five-minute face (it's genius, btw), we've scoured the internet for some of her biggest beauty secrets that you need to read now. She's even given away her love of facials, and the strange trick that keeps her coming back to the same expert. Want to know more and the products she loves to use? Keep scrolling for Meghan Markle's beauty secrets and shop some of her favourite products.
#1: The Five-Minute Face
We love this idea of having a five-minute face—essentially a quick way to do your makeup in the morning, which Markle says she's perfected. The trick? Not wearing foundation. All she does is put on some "Touche Éclat, curled lashes, mascara, Chap Stick, and a little bit of blush. That is my favourite kind of look," she told Allure.
#2: The Secret to Long Lashes
Always hunting down the best way to make your lashes look longer and fuller? Markle swears by Revitalash, and now we do too.
#3: The Power of a Great Facial
Byrdie favourite, skincare expert Nichola Joss is Markle's go-to for when she wants a great facial. When speaking about her favourite beauty treatments to Glamour, the star revealed that Joss's were her favourite because she "literally massages your face from inside your mouth! Insane, right?"
She also wrote about Joss on her website The Tig saying, "Nichola also happens to have the kindest and most calming energy that just being in her company, alone, feels therapeutic."
#4: The Hair Flip
Want a new way to do your hair? Markle has a tip called the "hair flip", which is what she likes to do when her hair is feeling heavy. "When my hair is feeling a little weighted, Suanne, my hair artist on set, has me bend forward and she sprays a little Oribe Dry Texturising Spray or nothing at all, and then has me 'flip back hard' to give my hair a little extra bounce," she told Birchbox. We're totally trying this one.
#5: The Smile
There's one final tip that we love that doesn't have anything to do with makeup or products. The star says that "everyone looks prettier when they smile." And we couldn't agree more.
