Lucas Papaw Ointment: The Model-Favourite Salve is Finally Here
Take a glimpse into any model’s bag during fashion week and you’re bound to find Lucas’ Papaw Ointment ($12). “It’s just the best,” model de jour Cara Delevingne told us last year. Why? The all-natural salve cleanses and nourishes dry skin, heels scrapes and burns, and has antibacterial properties. Before now you had to smuggle the Australian ointment into the country, but yesterday it officially became available on Net-a-Porter.
The formula is over 100 years old, made with only one ingredient: fermented Australian papayas. Along with the aforementioned uses, we’ve seen makeup artists us it on set to turn smoky eyes glossy, add non-shimmering radiance to cheekbones, and plump up nude lips.
We hope this is the start of a new trend. When can we finally get access to foreign cult products? We’d like to request Bioderma Crealine (the lightweight makeup remover) and L’Oreal’s European version of Elnett, which according to Kristen Stewart’s hairstylist, Adir Abergel, has a far superior nozzle. Pretty please!
