Why I'm Finally Comfortable Putting Oil On My Face
I’ve never been one who minds a lengthy beauty routine—an hour from start to finish is a good day for me—but for some reason, adding face oil to my routine has always felt like too much effort. My fears of congested pores and ruined pillowcases had me convinced a light serum was close enough—but leave it to Miranda Kerr to convince me otherwise.
I first tried Kerr’s all-natural Kora Organics Luxurious Rosehip Oil ($50) after learning its main ingredient, rosehip, is famed for lightening dark spots and skin imperfections. Intrigued, I gave it a two-week test run and eagerly waited to see if it lived up to its claim. Not only did my skin feel softer and smoother, but the high dose of vitamin A complimented my nightly retinol without making my skin too dry and flakey. While my sunspots and dark marks may not be significantly lighter after such a short trial period, the improvement in my skin is enough for me to create a place for it in my extensive skincare regime.
