The Secret Art of Snapchat, by Poppy Jamie
TV presenter Poppy Jamie is a pro when it comes to Snapchat—the app allows people to ‘snap’ pictures and videos and share them with their followers. Unlike Instagram where every image is meticulously edited and filtered, Snapchat is more ‘real’. Ahead of the 2016 Baftas tomorrow Lancôme announced that they have enlisted Jamie to take over their Snapchat where she will be sharing a behind-the-scenes view of the event—including interviews, makeup tips from Lancôme’s makeup artists (who will be prepping the biggest names) and her own makeover. Jamie is known for her red carpet interviews, with George Clooney describing her as a “breath of fresh air”, while her Snapchat show Pillow Talk had a reach of over 100 million on the social network. Keep scrolling for Poppy Jamie’s top 7 Snapchat tips, and the people she follows for beauty updates on the app.
This is so important! It's fine to Snapchat with no makeup on and allow the user to see you naturally. Actually the more honest you are the better your feed. I love watching the transformation from no makeup to full glam look!
Post as much as you want. You're not clogging up news feeds, your snaps are just added to your own individual story.
Hold your phone steady when videoing, otherwise you can make watchers feel sick with shuddering shots!
