The Affordable Lipstick the Fashion Industry Loves
When it comes to affordable beauty, it's rare to find one product that is universally loved by the A-list. Sure, there are a few finds here and there (French beauty brands, mainly) but the majority of the time we find that many celebs tend to stick to the more luxury products. However, there is one lipstick in particular that we're constantly spying on the fashion catwalks and at big red carpet events. And we can guarantee that you've tried a product from this brand before, but you might not realise how incredible this one item is. After reading, we'll bet you all the expensive lipsticks that you'll want to buy this inexpensive one immediately.

Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Hawaiian Smoulder (£9)
Yep, it's none other than this Burt's Bees lip crayon. The (future) iconic lipstick launched a couple of years ago, and we've not seen it off A-list lips since. Most recently at the Isabel Marant show, Gigi Hadid wore this crayon in Niagara Overlook to walk down the catwalk, and it was the perfect pinky-nude hue. But Gigi isn't the only one to fall for the line; Olivia Munn, Rachel Zoe, and Lea Michele are also fans. So what is it about the lip crayon that's having such a lasting popularity?
For starters, Burt's Bees makes natural products. It's free from phthalates and parabens—common chemicals you find in other makeup items that can cause allergies. And thanks to the likes of Emma Watson, who is a big supporter of ethical and natural makeup and clothing (ps, she loves Burt's Bees lip balms), there's been a steady increase in natural makeup popularity.
However, while the ethical side is important, the product still has to deliver, and Burt's Bees crayons don't disappoint. Coming in a range of six different colours, there's the lightest pink to the deepest reds, which mimic natural lip shades. The matte stick glides on easily, it's lightweight, and doesn't make lips feel tight, which some matte formulas can do, although if you do suffer from dry lips dab just a bit of lip balm just to be safe.
One final bonus? It's pencil shape allows for a much cleaner application and means you don't need to go for a liner, especially if you're in a rush or just want a super-natural look. You could say we've just exposed the A-list's biggest makeup secret.
