With a population of just over 1.1 million, Birmingham is a bustling city. And it seems, after reaching out to some of its residents, it has some pretty epic spa treatments to book in for and spas to visit. So whether you live in the city or are just visiting, if you’re in need of some R&R, Birmingham has you covered. We called on Birmingham-based bloggers Sian Victoria and Beckie Eschle, as well as Laurie Prescott, editor of Bell & Smokey, a magazine and weekly newsletter celebrating all things brilliant about Birmingham.

For their expert recommendations of the treatments to book in for, keep reading.

Beyond Beauty Clinic

“The Dermalogica Medi Bac Facial I received at Beyond Beauty Clinic has undoubtedly changed my skincare routine for the better,” Victoria tells us. “The expert advice I received from beauty therapist Laura has changed the way I care for my skin and has made me more aware of the ingredients in the products I use. The advice was invaluable, and ever since, my skin has improved tremendously.”

The Dermalogica Medi Bac facials cost £60 for 70 minutes at Beyond Beauty Birmingham, and you can either book direct with the clinic or via Treatwell.

“If you’re looking for a spa day experience, it has to be Santai Spa in Resorts World Birmingham; the treatments and facilities are fantastic,” adds Victoria.

The Cube

My favourite place is a spa day at The Cube in the Mailbox,” says Eschle. “I have a shoulder and head massage there, and the treatment itself is amazing regardless of who you book with. The spa is so zen and the staff is so friendly that you get treated like royalty.”

A spa day at The Cube is from £35.

Hotel du Vin

“We’re big fans of the Espa Specific Facial at Hotel du Vin,” says Prescott. “After an in-depth consultation, the treatment is tailored specifically to suit your skin and includes cleansing, exfoliation, massage and a mask. The products used are chosen for each individual, meaning you really get the best results. We head straight there if we’ve had a hectic week and need to counteract the effects of exposure to the elements or if we’re just feeling a bit sluggish and need to get our glow back.”

The Espa Specific Facial costs £60 for 60 minutes.
