Looking absolutely gorgeous at the launch of her highly anticipated new line Honest Beauty, Jessica Alba was sporting beautiful bronzed skin and a sleek, low chignon to pull together her chic ensemble. Try Phyto Phytodéfrisant Botanical Straightening Balm ($28) to prep your hair for the ultimate frizz-free, sleek look.
Makeup artist Melanie Inglessis gave Natalie Portman a soft smoky eye with an aubergine twist at the Toronto Film Festival’s Kick-Off Soiree. Picking up the purple hues from the Dior dress Portman was wearing, Inglessis created the look with Dior’s Dior Addict Fluid Shadow ($32) in Cosmic as a base on the eye, and then built intensity with the two darker purples in the new limited-edition Dior 5 Couleurs Cosmpolite ($63) in Electric, working them to the outer corner of the eyes, in the crease, and on the top and bottom lash line.
At the Venice Film Festival premiere of her new movie Equals, Kristen Stewart slayed in head-to-toe Chanel, showing off the perfect vampy lip for fall. Celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff used Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Color ($36) in Misia.
Kiernan Shipka worked with celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath to create a sort of fauxhawk updo that was equal parts cool and elegant. The edgy yet youthful look was created by starting with rough-drying the hair, then curling random sections with Sultra’s The Bombshell 1 Inch ($130) and separating the hair in to two sections—front and back. Next, with the back section, six ponytails were created down the back of the head. Once teased, the ponytails were twisted and knotted together down the back of her head and pinned into place. Once the back was complete, all of the remaining front hair was pulled into an inside-out French braid. After the braid was completed, it was pulled apart just a bit to add texture. Finally, Heath twisted it back and knotted it like the ponytails, joining it with the lower fauxhawk.
Elizabeth Olsen was the embodiment of natural beauty on the Deauville Film Festival red carpet, using neutral shadows and intense lashes to perfectly accentuate her gorgeous green eyes. Try Bobbi Brown’s Nude on Nude Palette ($65) to create the ultimate neutral eye and Benefit’s They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara ($24) in Black to elongate your lashes.
